HMT Ear Plugs

The HMT Ear Plugs reduce vehicle, environmental, and character sounds in the game while keeping multiplayer voice chat at your configured voice-chat volume.

• HMT-0017: Radio-enabled hearing protection for €149
• HMT-0018: In-ear hearing protection without radio for €5

Both versions support 25 %, 50 %, 75 %, or no attenuation, based on your configured game volume. The radio-equipped version leaves the game radio unattenuated by default, while the in-ear version includes it in the attenuation by default.

Purchasing and equipping: Both items are available in the shop under Tools → Miscellaneous. You can carry the purchased box, load it, and secure it with straps. Place the box on the ground, approach it on foot within 2.5 metres, and press X to transfer the hearing protection into your personal player inventory.

Controls:

• X: Take the hearing protection from your own placed box
• ^: Cycle through 25 % → 50 % → 75 % → Off
• Left Ctrl + G: Toggle radio attenuation
• Left Ctrl + Left Shift + G: Switch between purchased versions

The F1 help panel shows the active version, attenuation level, and radio setting. All controls can be remapped under Options → Controls. The player inventory is saved with the game, although attenuation starts disabled in each new session. Each player can own one of each version.
