Furrow Counter-Steering

This add-on visually recreates a tractor's gentle counter-steering while ploughing. When it detects an active plough and a furrow behind the rear axle, the front wheels and steering wheel visibly turn outwards into the area that has already been ploughed. It also checks the ground profile up to 3 metres ahead of the tractor, allowing the wheels to straighten before the end of the furrow.

The effect is purely visual and changes neither the vehicle physics, the actual steering behaviour nor the wheel tracks.

Settings available in the ESC menu:

• Direction of counter-steering
• Front-wheel steering angle: 5° to 25°
• Steering wheel multiplier: 1× to 50×
• Speed required to activate the effect: 1 to 20 km/h
• Time to straighten after leaving the furrow: 0 to 2 seconds
• Randomised counter-steering movements and their intensity

Randomised counter-steering adds short, smooth movements to the wheels and steering wheel in various directions. Five intensity levels adjust the strength and speed of these movements. The steering angle increases evenly.

Press U to toggle the main effect. Its current status is shown in the F1 help. All settings are saved in the game profile.

In multiplayer, the host makes changes. All players should use the same version of the mod. Feedback is welcome to further improve the mechanics and their settings.
